精神与金钱时代的中国诗歌

柯雷（Maghiel van Crevel），荷兰鹿特丹人，生于1963年，先后在荷兰、中国、澳洲做过语言学、汉语习得、中国文学方面的教学、研究、评论、翻译和新闻工作。柯雷1987年获荷兰莱顿大学汉学（Chinese Studies）硕士学位，1996年获中国语言文学（ Chinese Language and Literature）博士学位，此前还曾作为交换生在北京大学进修（1986-1987）。1996-1999年柯雷在莱顿大学担任汉学讲师，1999年至今一直担任该校的中国语言文学教授。在欧洲汉学界、中国文学界，这位40多岁说着一口非常流利的汉语的荷兰人名气可不小。他主攻中国文学(《诗经》至现代诗)、中国语言学及现代汉语语言。
在中国文学研究方面，柯雷尤其致力于中国当代诗歌的研究，并且将“先有诗歌，后有中国人”（there was poetry before there was Chinese）作为核心命题。柯雷对中国当代诗歌的研究主要从三个层面展开：“文本”(“Text”, poems)、“语境”(“Context”, socio-political surroundings)和“元文本”(“Metatext”, discourse on poetry)，同时从文学文本入手，将历史、社会和文化的考察共同纳入到中国当代诗歌的分析中。柯雷已有多篇文章以中、英、荷文发表于各刊物，包括《中国现代文学与文化》（Modern Chinese Literature and Culture）《淡江评论》（Tamkang Review）《袖珍汉学》（Minima Sinica）《文火杂志》（Het trage vuur）《今天》《诗探索》《新诗评论》等。
